Important updates for 2026 New York State Regents exams:

Algebra 2 & English language Arts: The Algebra 2 and English Language Arts Regents exams will now fully align with the Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS) and will be offered on June 9 & June 10, respectively. 

For Chemistry and Physics courses, there are two possible exam pathways:

·         New Format: Physical Science: Chemistry (Exam Date June 9) or Physical Science: Physics (Exam Date June 10)

·         Legacy Format: Physical Setting / Chemistry (Exam Date June 24) or Physical Setting / Physics (Exam Date June 25)

Important: Please verify with your student's teacher, guidance counselor, or department head which specific exam version they'll be taking.
